By some weird happenstance, I was searching for examples of Filipino music and I found a bunch of it that I didn’t know existed.  One band in particular is Bamboo.  I was really expecting a bunch of wannabe R&B “Down on my knees beggin you please” crap and there is that over there but there are also bands like this.  Here’s an example of one of their earlier rockers called Mr. Clay:

Here they are jazzing Bob Marley up.  The guys are true “heavys” as they say in the music world…

There are so many good bands over there that everyone should hear.  I will post some other great rock bands from the Philippines that I find.  This has made me wonder what other countries are hiding?  Is there a Malaysian rap band that I’m unaware of?  I’m going to find out.
